This holiday was not about kicking back. It was about making things a bit more lovely and getting rid of another white wall!!!! I do not like white walls. I know some find them 'clean and calm' but I see them as 'cold and sterile.' No thanks! I want 'warmth and welcome' in my home. Sadly our kitchen not only had white walls, but white counters and back splash that covers almost everything. The counters and back splash will eventually meet their demise (and cabinets will get a new face), but until then at least we have a little color!
